YellowNotes for the Cloud is intended to be cross-device and cross-platform. But the nature of the YellowNotes is to augment the internet and as such, the plugin is needed to make that web-enrichment happen. Some features require you to have an account on Yellow Notes for the Cloud, but not necessarily the Yellow Notes browser plugin.
